I received an automated call from an unknown number, informing me that my credit card has been charged 700 British pounds for a transaction on Amazon. The recorded message requested me to press 1 to confirm or dispute this transaction.
Having heard about similar scam tactics before, I decided to not follow the instructions and checked my bank account. There was no such transaction.
