I just experienced a serious scam. I received a call from a phone number in Cadiz, claiming to be the Office of the Chief of Police for Harrison County, informing me that I missed a grand jury duty assignment and there was a warrant out for my arrest. The man demanded $1100 to lift the warrant, but not to be paid by credit card, only cash or Venmo. In the end, I discovered it was a scam. BEWARE!
