I had never received any messages from Thames Water before. However, just a few weeks after contacting them about a serious issue related to a large bill and refund, I received a suspicious message. From the wording, spelling mistakes, and unusual grammar, I immediately recognized it as a scam. I blocked the number right away and did not respond. Out of curiosity, I looked up the phone number on Google and was not surprised to see it was linked to utility bill scam cases.
